The two-storey venue offers robust Asian-inspired cooking, balcony views of the West Deck dining precinct, plus a chef’s table with views into the open kitchen. The most iconic establishments and storied destinations are built on customisation, craft and character and the interior design of the venue must reflect its unique and authentic identity to maintain long-lasting appeal. The challenge was to give the venue an instantly recognisable and unmistakable feel through its design.

The new multi-level bar and restaurant was designed to combine a vibrant ambience inspired by the Asian-fusion culture with the cosy and stylish atmosphere associated to a premium spirits bar.

All of the visual elements work in concert to create an unforgettable venue and elevate the customer’s experience. Downstairs is flooded with natural light, high ceilings and decadent marble, while upstairs it’s more dimly-lit and laidback, looking over the rest of the space.

SAS Expanded Metal Mesh creates a modern architectural style that matches perfectly with the contemporary design of this new iconic venue. Chosen for this project for its flexibility, SAS MESH can be designed in a wide range of patterns and is compatible with multiple SAS systems. This project chose to integrate SAS Service channels within the main ceiling, which has created a unique look for this new Gin bar and easily complements the overall aesthetics of the space. Easily adapted for special features such as speakers, fire outlets, lights and air-con vents, the system allows for a fast installation process on site.
