Lagged copper pipe penetrations

Mechanical and Hydraulic pipes are often lagged with thermal insulation to stop heat transfer and condensation. As these services route through a building, they penetrate through fire rated walls and floors. The requirements of AS4072.1 require manufactures to test the various types of lagging through the different types of wall and floor fire barriers, to demonstrate compliance to the fire test standard- AS1530.4

Understanding which system is approved in each application is a tricky task. The team at Progressive Materials are industry experts and guide you through each step of the process. Our supply partner Promat is a world class manufacturer of fire stopping systems, and have a solution for almost any penetration.
